Greetings and salutations!

I hope that the past few months since the last tournament have been well for everyone. Now that we're far enough into the new year, a few details for the next edition of Fandom's Favorite Fursuit Fracas have been solidified, and I am pleased to announce that
Monday, February 27th, 2012
is the date that you need to highlight and remember and store in your memory banks.

What is so special about February 27th? That is the date we will open nominations to the fandom.

That's right, the tournament is no longer exclusive to self-nominations only. However, there are new limitations in place:

• We will go back to the "nominate yourself, nominate another" rule -- if you nominate a suit you own then you have to nominate a suit that you do not own.
• Owners will still be limited to 4 suits.
• We will only accept signed nominations -- forms must have your LJ account name, FA user name, or other identifying "furry profile" name included at the top or the bottom.
• We will only accept a maximum of 5 messages or 25 nominations from a signed source. If you exceed these maximums, your oldest message or nomination will be thrown out to accomodate your newest addition.
• Owners must opt-in to compete in the tournament. This means that even if you nominate someone, they must contact us in order to accept your nomination. Nobody will compete against their wishes.
• Self-nominations are automatic opt-ins; however, the fursuits designated for the "nominate another" will still need to opt-in unless they also self-nominated.
• As a reminder: Frazzle (2007), Jager (2008), Yippee Coyote (2009), Flux (2010), and Bucktown Tiger (2011) have all won previous FFFF events and are excluded from nominations to this year's event. You may still nominate other fursuits they own or have built.
